Partridges first opened back in 1972 by Sir Richard Shepherd in Sloane Street, Chelsea and it quickly became a huge success story, gaining a reputation for their superb quality produce.

Their commitment to supporting small business, as well as importing a large range of international products are second to none – if you’re looking for something truly unique, you have come to the right place. They even have their own Partridges branded products, including a gin flavoured to taste like a sweet Chelsea bun!

In 1994 the store was awarded the Royal Warrant by HM The Queen, with Partridges still proudly holding the warrant today.

Lobster Soup with Cognac

If you’re looking to elevate your lunchtime game, there’s no better choice than a refined bowl of Partridge’s Lobster and Cognac soup. This deeply rich and flavourful recipe is the height of luxury and would work well for a luxury lunch for yourself or as a delicious starter when entertaining. The lobster stock is complex and flavourful and is bound to go down a treat. Add some fresh sourdough with butter to the mix and you have a sublime, no-fuss meal.

A freshly brewed coffee is one of life’s small pleasures, and we think Partridges own brand really hits the spot. One of the best things about buying this superb coffee is that Partridges have partnered with a family-run coffee supplier, which is in keeping with their ethos of supporting small business.

You will find a great variety to choose from, however, we are particularly partial to the Sumatran blend as well as the Decaffeinated option for the afternoon.

Partridges Salted Cashews

Looking for a tasty snack or nibbles for entertaining? Delicious, buttery cashew nuts are bound to please your guests. These cashews have the perfect crunchy texture, with that smooth, buttery flavour they’re known for. Partridges’ cashew nuts are fried in rapeseed oil and then given a final sprinkling of salt. These also make great gift items – isn’t the jar so cute?

Biscuiteers Gin Biscuits

If you’re looking for the most creative biscuit selection in London, there’s one name that comes to mind: Biscuiteers. These adorable, edible creations are the most fun you can have with biscuits – as you can see here, gin is on the menu! Of course, only in design. These hand-iced, lemon biscuits are the perfect snack, and the most adorable hostess gift. Fabri Strawberry Pot

We think the artfully decorated pot is worth the buy alone. Aesthetics aside, this strawberry delicacy is one to bring out for those special occasions. Carefully selected strawberries are preserved in a luscious strawberry syrup, which keeps the fruit firm and plump, and is great as an addition to cocktails and baking. We think they’re superb when added to a Champagne cocktail or simply to liven up a glass of Prosecco.

You could even add the strawberries to sweet treats such as cupcakes and cheesecakes. They also taste incredible when added to natural yoghurt and sprinkled with granola.

Partridges Orange and Chocolate Cantuccini

These crunchy, sweet Italian biscuits are a tasty addition to the pantry, especially when that mid-morning coffee comes calling. This heavenly combination of zesty orange and chocolate make theses the perfect treat. Made for coffee dipping, we think!

Partridges Dijon Mustard

You can’t visit Partridges without purchasing a jar of their exquisite Dijon mustard. We have all agreed it’s one of the must-have pantry items, and this Dijon recipe ticks all the boxes. The sauce has a wonderful creamy finish with that classic tang it’s known for. It’s best spread on fresh bread with plenty of good butter and then layered with ham and cheese. You can also add to cooking sauces and salad dressings.

The sumptuous purple box indicates at something particularly special, and we can personally vouch for the quality of these exquisite chocolates. A generous selection of milk, dark and white chocolate awaits, with the all-important Partridges seal of approval. We like a beauty regime with products of the drinkable variety, and when we came across this delightfully tasting tea – with health-benefits to boot – it instantly made the list.

Glow Cultured Tea contains the superfood cacao, as well as organic rosebud, organic cinnamon, calcium, magnesium, antioxidants, to name just a few of the powerhouse ingredients.

This tea is also containing 1 billion vegan cultures which does wonders for a healthy gut, which in turn is excellent for maintaining skin heath. It’s a win-win.

Hershey’s Syrups

Partridges has some of the most impressive range of American food and drink brands we have come across. If you head to the back of the store, you will find a splendid selection of cake mixtures, syrups, canned goods, condiments, cooking sauces, snacks and spreads. They’re also known for their notable selection of Thanksgiving products.

We can’t resist a bottle of Hershey’s Syrup which has become our go-to ice-cream topping of choice.

Charlie & Ivy’s Bread Dipper

We like easy entertaining where a lot of the work has already been taken care of, especially when it comes to the nibbles. Enter Charlie and Ivy’s Bread Dipper which is the perfect accompaniment to some crusty bread or crispy Grissini. We particularly like the Chilli, Garlic and Ginger as well as the Smoked Garlic and Black Peppercorn. We like to stock up on these whenever we visit Partridges.

The Original Cake Co

So much love and care go into these classic bakes, all handmade in Lincolnshire by bakers, Simon and Karol. The Original Cake Co specialise in classic cakes, with a modern twist. We’re huge fans of the classic fruit cake, as well as the decadent Chocolate Truffle Cake selection. They also have a loaf cake selection which pairs well with a cuppa!

Little Flavoured Instant Coffee

If you’re in a rush most mornings or have a last-minute guest drop by and don’t have time to make to make a fresh pot, these jars of flavoured instant coffee are a tasty alternative. Although we are fresh coffee purists, we are super impressed with this brand for their quality, premium coffee. And don’t you think the branding is so cute? The packaging makes us want to buy the entire range.
