London’s Top 3 Must-Try Christmas and Festive Menus

Tis the season of the annual festive menu, and London’s restaurants are brimming with some of the best seasonal dishes, signature favourites, and desserts to delight and ignite the Christmas spirit.

I have hand-picked three of my favourite menus, all tried and tested to ensure they fit the bill this Christmas – there’s also something for everyone to enjoy

London’s sparkling dining scene is on top form this winter season. Here are the top 3 festive menus for your perusal in 2025!

Pied a Terre

Pied a Terre

Fine dining, elegant surroundings, and superlative service at the grande dame of Fitzrovia. Pied a Terre is an ode to true old school hospitality and classic French cuisine. David Moore – founder and owner – makes you feel like a regular even if it may be your first visit. It’s no surprise that this is London’s longest standing Michelin starred restaurant.

The Festive Tasting menu is a sumptuous 7 course meal – which can include a wine flight or an accompanying cocktail –has been beautifully thought through to every detail.

To begin, a zesty cured Hamachi to pique the tastebuds; followed by a fudgy Slow Cooked Duck egg with a smoked eel; the lightest Artichoke velouté with smoky Alsace bacon is one you could eat again – flavourful yet a cloud-like lightness.

A perfectly cooked Cornish Cod is next up with an earthy sweetness coming from the pumpkin which matches the buttery cod to perfection; if that wasn’t enough, the following main is a Guinea Fowl with parsnip, coconut nibs and walnut – a true triumph of a dish, with the gamey sweetness of the guinea fowl, so rich and flavourful, and yet delicately soft.

Two delectable desserts to follow: first the freshness of clementine in a cooling sorbet is the perfect palette cleanser, followed by the elevated Miso with a creamy white chocolate.

This festive extravaganza can be taken (as it rightfully should) in 7 glorious courses but can also be pared down to five.

7 courses – £160
5 courses – £125

Thai Square

Thai Square

For some of the tastiest Thai dishes in the city, there’s no better place for some festive frivolities than Leicester Square’s iconic Thai Square. If you’re looking for something that take you off to warmer climes this winter, a Thai-inspired feast is bound to kick off the party season in style. We also think this restaurant is the perfect price point for large groups, as well as offering some of the tastiest festive options this season.

The Jubilee Christmas menu offers some of the most beloved and classic dishes, with many customer favourites added to the mix. To begin, their Mixed Starters combines the classic pre-dinner snacks the restaurant is most famous for, including the Vegetable Spring rolls, Chicken Satay, Thai Dumplings and Butterfly Prawns, as well as their famous Aromatic Duck served with steamed pancakes and hoisin sauce.

You have a sumptuous variety of main course options to follow, each served with Jasmine rice. Highlights of the menu include Caramel Chicken with a battered and glazed sweet sticky sauce, Tamarind Prawns with a tangy, savoury dressing, as well as the classic Green Curry served with either chicken or tofu.

For dessert, an Instagram-worthy Pearly Coconut gelato with toasted coconut flakes – the perfect, refreshing dessert to end the meal.

Savoy Grill

Savoy Grill

The old school glamour of the Savoy Grill is – quite simply – made for the festive season. The glorious 5-start hotel in the heart of The Strand shimmers with lights and sparkle, and before you’ve even stepped foot in the restaurant, you are well into the Christmas spirit. We can think of no better restaurant to celebrate the season than with a sumptuous array of festive menus to keep you going right through to New Year’s Eve.

Whether you’re looking to experience the classic A La Carte menu, or you’re dining over the festive period, there will be a bespoke menu to help you celebrate the season in style.

I was lucky enough to get to try some of the delicious dishes on offer and was particularly wowed by the ‘Red Deer’ venison – seared to perfection with that ruby red centre – served with port braised red cabbage, smoked blackberries and salsify. It’s the true dish of the season!

This dish also came with the Grill’s famous sides, including pomme puree, Bloody Mary fries, Tender stem broccoli and Café de Paris butter, garlic mushrooms and sauteed spinach.
